在叙事学研究中,叙述开端是一个被相对忽视的研究领域。而对于虚构叙事作品小说而言,叙述开端的功能极其丰富,它在创作前影响想象机制的转换与实现问题,在创作中对整个叙述结构起预示与建构作用,对于读者具有引发阅读兴趣与意义认知上的影响与功用。在创作、文本、读者具有互动意义的语境中,叙述开端研究蕴涵着重要的理论价值和实践意义。

In narratology, narrative inception is a relatively neglected area of research. For narrative fiction, the function of narrative inception manifests itself not only in influencing the transition and realization of imagination before writing hut also in predicting the successive frame of the work. In addition, narrative inception plays an important role in arousing reading interest. It is of theoretical and practical significance to study narrative inception in the context of interaction between creation, text and reader.
