Survey of Major English-Speaking Countries under the Student-Centered Teaching Mode

英语国家概况课程是高校英语专业学生的一门必修课。其目的在于开阔学生视野,拓宽知识面,丰富文化修养,培养并提高综合能力。为此,需构建"以学生为主体"的教学模式。在此过程中,教师与学生要树立正确的观念,采用多样教学方式、方法与手段,正确引导学生,加强教师的主导地位,突出其主导作用,并处理好教学中的各种问题,共同努力,互相配合,使教学达到尽善尽美。

Survey of major English-speaking countries is a compulsory course specified to junior English majors. It aims at broadening student＇s horizon, expanding their knowledge, cultivating and improving their integrated competence. Hence,we should establish the education mode of ＂take students as the main body＂. In the course, teachers and students should set up correct concept, take variety teaching methods to guide students, strengthen the dominant position of teachers, deal with various issues in teaching, work together and achieve a perfect result.
