Hu Jintao's Theory on the Adherence of Different Roads of Development for Different Countries

发展问题,是世界各国所普遍关心的时代课题。无论是马克思主义经典作家,还是中国当代领导人,都坚持不同国家要走不同的发展道路。胡锦涛作为中国当代领导人,立足于国情差异,从一般意义上,论述了所有国家发展道路的不同,认为"世界上没有放之四海而皆准的发展道路和发展模式";同时也从特殊意义的层面,就中国特色社会主义道路和发展模式进行了思想阐发。

Development is a contemporary issue of international concern.Different people,including renowned Marxist scholars and contemporary Chinese leaders,maintain that different countries should stick to different roads of development.Hu Jintao,secretary general of the Chinese Central Government,expressed similar ideas,taking the differences of countries into consideration and holding that there is no universal road or mode of development suitable for all countries.On the other hand,he elaborates on the reasons why China has to stick to the socialist road of development with Chinese characteristics.
