With the continuing development of the society and economy,teaching for English majors is placed with high expectations.Under this situation,this paper analyzes the impact of situated learning theory on teaching for English majors and concludes that teaching philosophy for English majors can be constantly updated by applying situated learning theory to instructional design and promoting instructional communications.
