Rooted from its understanding of its risks and based on the essence of the Enterprise Risk Management （ERM） Framework, University of California （UC） has launched its ERM practice through the operation of its risk management proce- dures, namely, risk identification/risk assessment, risk response and risk monitoring, as well as the application of risk manage- ment to various aspects, such as Insurance ＆ Claim, Environment health ＆ Safety, Emergency ＆ Disaster; Ethics, Compliance ＆ Audit through the horizon of ERM theory. UC＇ s ERM practice offers inspirations for the theoretical research for reshaping do- mestic ERM practice and reference for effectively handling problems concerning risks at institutions at tertiary level in contempo- rary China.
