In the view of Zhang Dongsun, science and philosophy have an essential difference in the object boundaries, the standards of ＂true＂, the research ＂approach＂, the research ＂attitude＂, the nature, the function and the position. The relationship between science and philosophy is that their boundaries are clear and mutually fused, under which they complement each other and go forward and develop together. Zhang Dongsun＇s illuminating ideas about the relationship of science and philosophy not only won over the legal position for the survival and development of the Chinese modem philosophy, but also provided the valuable theoretical resources for us to handle correctly the relationship between scientific culture and human culture, look upon scientifically the relationship between Chinese and Western cultures, and promote the sustainable development of human society and the construction of advanced socialist culture.
