摘要
针对现有方法功率利用率低与调制实现困难的问题,采用基于光纤光栅(FBG)的超宽带(UWB)调制信号产生方法,建立了UWB信号产生系统。不仅可以实现UWB信号的调制,而且提高了产生信号的信噪比。实现了二进制相位调制(BPM)、脉冲幅度调制(PAM)和脉冲位置调制(PPM)等UWB信号产生。分析了光纤传输对产生信号的影响,并进行了60km单模光纤(SMF)传输,传输后眼图清晰,达到无误码。仿真和实验结果表明该方法实现简单,适合光UWB通信系统应用。
A system to generate ultra-wideband (UWB) signals is established. For the low power efficiency and modulation difficulty, a method to implement modulation of UWB signal based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is proposed. The proposed method increases the signal noise ratio as well as provides schemes to generate different pulse modulation signals. UWB monocycle signals with bi-phase modulation,pulse-amplitude modulation and pulse-position modulation are realized. The transmission performance of the generated UWB signals over fiber is analyzed. After transmission of 60 km along a single mode fiber, the eye diagram is clear and achieves error free. Simulation and experiment results show that this method is simple and feasible for application in optical UWB communication systems.
