Integrative thinking is a kind of thinking pattern in modern times.It is a discipline of consideration and synthesis of two diametrically opposing ideas.It shows us a way beyond the binary limits of either-or,and a way to integrate the advantages of one solution without canceling out the advantages of an alternative solution. This article first introduces the concept of integrative thinking and describes the current situation of the teaching of EFL writing.It then discusses ways to incorporate integrative thinking into the teaching of EFL writing.The importance and significance of applying integrative thinking to the teaching of EFL writing is finally addressed.
