Language and thought are closely related and interact with each other. Influenced by Chinese language,cul- ture and thought patterns, the Chinese students inevitably write down some Chinglish words in English writing, which affects the cross-cultural communication. An analysis on the causes and various manifestations of Chinglish at lexical lev- el,and some implications put forward can help to reduce or eradiate Chinglish, thus effectively improve the writing ability of students.
