Most of the commenters point out that the contents of the opera Notes of Pipa are extremely valuable as well as complex,but they are obviously deficient and have some dross as well.As a matter of fact,this just gives expression to the two-side connotation of Gao Ming＇s Notes of Pipa.The two-side connotation of the opera can at least be shown in three ways,which are contradictions between the conciousness of social characters and one＇s personal experiences,a mixture of grief and comfort and evaluating the merits and demerits of important figures.It is full of connotation that makes differences between the opera Notes of Pipa and other operas in value.
