Applications of Rat Models in Studies of Vomiting

大鼠没有呕吐反射,但研究表明在催吐刺激下大鼠具有呕吐动物相似的神经递质改变和脑内局部区域兴奋。以异食癖和条件性厌食行为作为呕吐行为的替代,大鼠被用于多种具有催吐效应药物的不良反应评价和镇吐药物止吐效能的观察,其中不仅包括塞来昔布等西药,也包括多种中药单药、止吐复方、复方制剂与中药单药提取物,如单药连翘、小半夏汤、黄芩提取物等。

There is no vomiting reflex in rats,but some studies indicated that they had the similar changes of neurotransmitters and activations of brain local regions induced by emetic stimulation.Rats were applied in many studies of vomiting based on the pica and conditioned taste aversion as a proxy for emesis.These studies were involved in evaluations on adverse emetic effects and potency of antiemesis of drugs,including not only some chemicals such as celecoxib but also some Chinese herbal drugs,decoctions,compound preparations and drug extracts such as forsythia suspensa,small pinelliae decoction,and baicalein etc..
