FOU:A New Concept of Teaching French as a Second Language in France

摘要 FOU新概念以帮助外国学生在法国大学顺利入学、就学并取得学业成功为目标。它是对外法语教学的新尝试,也是对外法语研究的新视角。它主张语言与文化并重,通过关注语言外的种种文化因素,来培养和调动学生的综合能力,使学生获得语言能力、社会语言能力和语用能力。它对于反思我国法语教学中存在的问题、调整我们的教学思路和策略有现实意义;对于提高我国学生的口语表达能力和语言交际与实用能力有启示意义。 FOU, a new concept of teaching French as a second language in France, is intended to help foreign students to be sucessfully enrolled in French universities, to adapt themselves to the campus life and to accomplish their academic goals. As a new approach and a different perspective for teaching French to speakers of other languages, FOU can be characterized by its advocacy of a balanced treatment of language and culture. It pays due attention to extra-linguistic cultural factors, thus enabling the students to acquire linguistic, socio-lingual, and pragmatic skills, a technique that is indispensible to the development of the students' general competences. In this regard, FOU of huge practical significance for French teaching in China in that it can help us to reflect on the problems in our work and to adjust our teaching methods and strategies. In particular, it sheds new light on how to improve Chinese students' oral French and enhance their French communicative competence for special as well as general purposes.
