Financial Agglomeration and Its Spatial Evolution within City Groups:Taking the Yangtze River Delta as an Example

城市群内金融业的集聚现象是明显的,且在空间分布上呈现非均匀性和非相关性,那些信息服务业主导而非生产主导的城市往往具有较高的金融集聚水平。城市群发展到一定阶段后,会出现生产中心和信息中心的分离及产业分化,最终那些信息服务中心主导的城市会最终成长为区域或更高级别的金融中心。

The phenomenon of financial agglomeration within city groups is obvious and it presents non - uniformity and noncorrelation in spatial distribution. The information service oriented rather than production oriented cities tend to have higher levels of financial ag- glomeration. When city groups develop to a certain stage, the production center and information center will be separated, which will lead to industrial polarization. Finally the information service oriented cities will grow to be regional or higher level financial centers.
