A New High Quality and Early-maturing Watermelon Cultivar,Sumi No.6

西瓜新品种苏蜜6号是由自交系20-207与自交系20-WS-3-1配制而成的一代杂种。早熟,果实发育期30 d;植株长势中等,耐低温弱光,坐果性强;果实高圆球形,果皮底色墨绿,覆深绿色网纹,果皮厚0.9 cm,单瓜质量3.3 kg;中心可溶性固形物含量11.8%,瓜瓤粉红色,瓤质酥,纤维含量少,水分足,口感风味佳;一般667 m2产量约3 500 kg;适于华东地区作保护地早熟栽培。

Sumi No.6 is a new watermelon Fl hybrid developed by cross between 2 inbred lines 20-207（female） and 20-WS-3-1（male）.Sumi No.6 is early maturity,growth moderate,resistant to low temperature and light,easy to set fruit,and the fruit development period is 30 days.The fruit is high-round,and the peel is dark green with deep green reticular lines on it.The average fruit weight is 3.3 kg with the peer thickness 0.9 cm.The pink flesh is crisp and has excellent taste and flavor with soluble sugar content of 11.8%.Its net yield is about 3 500 kg/667 m2.Sumi No.6 is suitable for early-maturing cultivation on protected fields in Eastern China.
