Exploration of theory and experience of ZHANG Xi-chun in treating consumptive thirst

目的:探讨张锡纯治疗消渴病经验和理论。方法:通过分析《医学衷中参西录》及既往文献。结果:其治疗消渴病经验和理论如下:①汇通中西,阐释消渴发病部位在"膵";②通过取象比类法阐释消渴病发病机理为"元气不升";③承古创新,创制新方;④选药紧扣病机,少而精辟;专效重用,注重配伍。结论:其首先阐释了消渴病的发病部位,首创"元气不升"致消渴的理论,同时创制新的方剂。

Objective： To probe the theroy and experience of ZHANG Xi-chun in treating consumptive thirst.Methods： Analyse the Yi Xue Zhong Zhong Can Xi Lu and previous literature.Result： His theroy and experience in treating consumptive thirst were： ①pick-and-mixed the Traditional Chinese and western medicine,explained the occurrence location of consumptive thirst was in ＇pancreas＇;②Explained the mechanism of the consumptive thirst was ＇inability of ascending of yuan qi＇ based on the method of categorization by analogy;③Inherit ancient and innovation,creating new prescription;④grip mechanism in selecting TCM,few but penetrating;use single curative effect but big dosage,and focus on compatibility.Conclusion： He explained the occurrence location of consumptive thirst at first,created the theroy-＇inability of ascending of yuan qi＇ led to consumptive thirst first of all,and created new prescription.
