国外原版图书编目工作探讨

On the Cataloging Operations of Original Edition Books from Abroad

由于缺乏统一的编目标准及工具书,并且受到计算机软件及编目员外语水平的制约,外文原版图书的编目工作还存在着一些问题。论文通过分析外文原版图书的编目现状和难点,提出可以通过制定统一标准,有效利用本校外语师资力量和网络书目数据资源进行国外原版图书编目。

Because of lacking unified cataloguing standard and reference book, and being restricted by computer software and cata- loguer＇s foreign language level, some problems exist yet in the work of cataloging operations of those books in foreign languages. By analyzing the status quo and difficulties in cataloging, this paper proposes the ways of laying out consolidated standard, and making effective use of personnel resources in foreign languages teaching at colleges, network resources, data of cataloging in publication and bibliographical information in internet to while cataloging original edition books from abroad.
