Probing into the Pragmatic Functions of New Words and Neologisms in Japanese

运用省力原则、合作原则等语用学的一般性原理,文章探讨了日语新语和流行语的语用功能。其功能主要表现为五个方面,本篇则针对前两项功能"简洁与高效"、"合作与排他":分析成因,介绍背后隐藏的语用学原理,探讨其在具体语言交际中所发挥的作用。

Based on the general principles of pragmatics,such as Principle of Least Effort,Co-operative Principle,and Politeness Principle,this paper attempts to explore the pragmatic functions of neologisms and new words in Japanese.The pragmatic functions mainly consist of five aspects and in light of the first two functions： conciseness and high effectiveness and co-operation and exclusiveness,the paper analyses their contributing factors and then introduces the pragmatic principles behind.Meanwhile,it probes into their applications to specific verbal communication.
