中国上古神话时代,始于伏羲氏,终于商代晚期。伏羲至少皞为"民神不杂"时期,少皞世衰为"神民杂糅"时期,颛顼"绝地天通"(禁绝蚩尤下凡)后又恢复"民神不杂"时代。商代晚期武乙前后,天帝开始远离人王,到商周之际中国上古神话时代正式结束。
