浅议译本质量与译者角色的转变

On the Quality of Translation and the Shift of Translators' Roles

好的译品应达到"信息传真"、"风格再现"和"可读性好"这三项基本标准,同时,它还应体现文体特征,如科技性文本的译文重视严密的逻辑性,法律、合同、条约等文体的译文则强调准确。因此,为了保证译文的质量,译者就必须要改变其"完全从属"、"次要"的地位,颠覆其"被动"、"消极"的"女仆"角色,转而变成集读者、作者、创造者、研究者于一身的多重角色扮演者。

A quality translation must abide by the three basic criteria of maintaining the original information, reflecting the original style and good readibility, in the meantime, it should also convey the textual characteristics, for example, a good translation of a scientific text must emphasize strict logics, while a good translation of legal document, contract or treaty attach utmost importance to accuracy. Therefore, to ensure the high quality of a transahion, a translator must abandon his status of absolute subordination, subvert his role as passive and inferior servant, and change himself into a multi-role player integrating the role of a reader, writer, creator and researcher.
