Practice of Building a Public Service System for Modern Distance Education:A Sample Research

建设现代远程教育公共服务体系是构建学习型城市和学习型社会的重要举措。大连电大在各级政府支持下,发挥系统优势,经过多年的实践探索,初步建成了由1个远程教育中心、8个远程教育服务中心和1500个远程教育学习中心构成的公共服务体系。该服务体系资源丰富,学习支持多样,功能强大,特色鲜明,管理运作灵活,能够满足不同学习者的学习需求,为建设学习型城市积攒了典型经验,为大连乃至全国建设全民学习、终身学习的学习型社会提供了实践模型。

To build a public service system for modern distance education is an important means in building a learning-oriented city and a learning oriented society. Supported by all levels of government, exerting its organizational advantage, Dalian Radio and TV University has established a public service system consisting of one distance education center, eight service centers and 1500 learning centers. The system, with its rich resources, varied learning supports, powerful functions, outstanding characteristics and flexible management and operation, has met the demand of various learners, accumulated experiences for building the learning oriented city, and provided a practice model of building a learning-for-all and learning-for-life society for both Dalian and the whole country.
