摘要 针对NAND闪存不能在本地进行数据更新操作,导致数据合并时消耗大量额外的能量,提出一种简单有效的基于页组地址映射的闪存转换层(GFTL)方案。GFTL将上层文件系统的逻辑地址请求转换为物理页组地址和页组内偏移量。在垃圾回收时,具有最多无效数据页的物理块将被回收并擦除。采用数据访问序列驱动的模拟方法来评估GFTL的性能,并对存储研究领域被广泛使用的DiskSim和SSD-add-on模拟器进行修改。实验结果显示,无论在真实的工作负载下还是在基准测量工作负载下,GFTL相比于其他3种著名的闪存转换层都能够减少18%以上的读、写和擦除操作所消耗的能量。 NAND flash memory has many advantages such as allowing random access, high throughput, shock resistance,small size, portability, etc. However, NAND flash memory has a main drawback: it lacks in-place write, and need more energy to merge data for consistency. An efficient and simple page group based hybrid-mapping FTL (GFTL) is presented to decrease the extra energy consumed by flash memory for merge data operations. GFTL translates the logical address of upper layer file system to a physical page group and an offset. The blocks with the most invalid pages are erased during garbage collection. A trace driven simulation with DiskSim and SSD-add-on has been used to evaluate GFTL. The experimental results show that under both real world and benchmark workloads the energy used for read, write and erase operations can be decreased by over 18% compared with other famous FTLs on average.
