墨子思想中蕴涵着丰厚且系统的设计本体论、认识论和方法论,对当今设计与民生,现代科技文明与传统文化的断裂和冲突所带来的困惑具有强烈的现实指导意义和实用价值。通过对墨子民本设计思想的研究,对现代设计进行反思,提升设计的社会、经济价值。

This paper studied Mozi＇ s ideology of design for people in the contemporary context of the people＇s well - being. It discusses the modem designing through integrating the historical and cultural resources with the modem social and economy value and elaborates the relationship between the designing and people＇s well - being. Mozi＇s ideology of ontology, epistemology and methodology have precious historical value, and it provided a guidance to solve the confusion caused by fracture and conflict of modem technological civilization.
