胡怀琛与民国之初的新文学教育

Hu Huaichen and the Modern Literary Education in the Beginning of Republic of China

"南社"诗人胡怀琛被五四新文化派斥为"旧派文人",但实际上其对新文学教育做出了不小的贡献。民初之时,他在上海等地多所大中专院校讲授白话诗文,课程讲义10余部大多付梓出版。这些著述既注重文学本位,又强调文体意识;既有浓厚的历史观念,又有强烈的文化选择意识;讲课内容还提出了"新文学建设的根本计划"。因此,其新文学课堂不仅为新文化运动的顺利展开制造了土壤营造了气氛,其课程内容本身也是中国文学现代化的重要方案。

The poet Hu Huaichen of ＂Southern Poetry＂,who was dismissed as ＂Old School writers＂by new culture sent,has in fact made no small contribution to the new literature education.In the beginning of Rebublic of China,he teached the new literature in many colleges and universities of Shanghai,and more than 10 course notes was published.These writings on literature emphasize literature consciousness and stylistic awareness;with both strong ideas of history and cultural consciousness;and also proposed a ＂basic plan on new literature construction＂.Therefore,the new literature class not only made the soil atmosphere for the new culture movement smoothly,the course itself is also an important scheme on modernization of Chinese literature.
