Rogers＇＂student-centered＂ humanistic educational thought is a direct application of his ＂person-centered＂ non-direction psychotherapy theory.He considers that the purpose of education is to cultivate the ＂whole person＂ with knowledge integrated with emotion,a harmonious teacher-student relationship,teacher＇s trust and respect for the student,and ＂empathic understanding＂ are the key to promoting learning.In teaching are emphasized to stimulate learners＇ intrinsic motivation,to promote them to study freely and meaningfully.
