On Translation Strategies from the Linguistic Fuzziness of Tao Te Ching

语言模糊现象是《道德经》的特征之一,它主要包括语音模糊、词义模糊和句法模糊三个方面,具体体现在通假字的使用、一词多义和句法模糊上。本文拟从语音模糊、词义模糊和句法模糊三个角度分析不同译者翻译《道德经》的模糊语言时采用的翻译策略。

Linguistic fuzziness is one of the characteristics of Tao Te Ching. It mainly includes phonetic fuzzi-hess, lexical fuzziness and syntactical fuzziness, which are respectively reflected as loan words, words with a wide range of meanings and syntactical uncertainties. The thesis probes into translation strategies adopted by different translators of Tao Te Ching from the perspectives of phonetic fuzziness, lexical fuzziness and syntactical fuzziness.
