The paper introduces CBI （Content- based Instruction） theory and discusses its application in the course of English Teaching Methodology. The paper illustrates that CBI theory can be integrated with the characters of teaching materials of the course. The specific CBI teaching model should be adopted properly in the theory explanation and students＂ teaching practice for the purpose of enriching students＂ teaching knowl- edge and enhancing their teaching skills.
