土家族是一个古老的民族,在它漫长的生命历史演进的过程中有顺着历史发展的痕迹前进的生命凯歌,这是生命的主流。也有在生命之流遇到阻塞(即被逼入创世情境)时而留下的温情而又悲悯的烧火佬之歌,虽然它只是这个民族前进过程中的一支小流,可它在生命延续和谱系序列的链环上起到了很好的不可或缺的修补作用。本文从生命延续的角度,对土家族烧火佬现象的合理性作一个试探性的论析。

Tujia is an old nation. Tracing the historical development, it progresses with a life triumph in the process of long historical evolution of life, which is a mainstream of life. When its life stream encountered obstruction, this nation created a tender but compassionate song--the Song of Burner. Although it is a small stream in the process of the national progress, it plays an indispensable role in repairing the interlink between life continuity and pedigree sequence. This paper tentatively analyzes the rationality of Tujia burner phenomenon from the perspective of life continuity.
