从《棋王》与《象棋的故事》看文化选择的向度

Analysis on the Dimension of Cultural Choice from King of Chess and Chess Story

阿城的《棋王》是其代表之作,《象棋的故事》是奥地利小说家茨成格一生的最后作品。这两部作品有着很多相似的地方:都是下棋的题材,同样面对灾难的背景("文革"和"二战"),都是反思之作。通过对两者的比较,从中可以看出作者不同的文化选择,这样的选择向度与作者的文化背景有着密切关系。

King of Chess is A＇Cheng＇s masterpiece, while Chess Story is the last work in Stefan Zweig＇ life, an Austrian novelist. These two works have many similarities： the both themes are about chess, and the both backgrounds are with disasters （the ＂Cultural Revolution＂ and ＂World War II＂）, and both reflective. Through the comparison between the two works, it can be seen that writers＇ cultural choices are different. The choosing dimension is closely related with writers＇ cultural backgrounds.
