摘要
《芒果街上的小屋》是一部经典的成长小说,它以自传体方式描述了一位生长在美国的西语裔小女孩埃斯佩朗莎是如何成长为一位有独立思想意识的女性的过程。书中多次以死亡为话题展开讨论,对死亡的思考贯穿全文。本文运用解构理论消解了本文中死亡与成长的对立关系,小说作者也正是通过女孩埃斯佩朗莎对几次死亡话题的思考,来记录其成长为独立女性的过程。
The House on Mango Street autographically depicts the procedure of a Spanish girl Esperanza,who lives in America,turning out to be an independent woman.As a successful growth novel,however,the meditation on death accompanies the girl＇s realization of being maturity.This paper,combined with close reading,plans to prove that it is ＂death＂ the girl ponders on several occasions that helps her growing up.
