"栲栳"是笆斗一类的用竹篾或柳条编织成的盛物器具,但与笆斗并非一物;"栲栳"得名于其形体的中空而圆;"栲栳"由形容词"壳娄"所派生,而"壳娄"为"句"之分音词。
Kao lao is a kind of round-bottomed basket with a wicker woven bamboo strips or equipment containing material,but it is not the same with the common round-bottomed basket.It is so called for its hollow and round shape.
