随着计算机技术和信息技术的发展，多媒体教学已成为重要的教学手段之一。在现代远程开放教育中，学生的学习环境、课堂环境都与传统教育有着很大的区别，相应地，其教学设计与方式也与课堂教学条件下的教学设计存在着明显差别．本文结合现代远程开放学习的特点，浅谈一下多媒体教学在开放教育中的优势、不足及发展。

With the development of computer technology and information technology, multimedia teaching became one of most important teaching methods. In open education, the environment of study is different from traditional education. The design of teaching is different from traditional ways also. The paper according the characteristics of open education, discusses the advantages, disadvantages and development of multimedia technology of teaching.
