《J·阿尔弗瑞德.普鲁弗洛克的情歌》是艾略特第一部重要的作品,作者以主人公普鲁弗洛克对待"重大问题"——爱情表白的态度变化作为贯穿整首诗的主线,用内心独白表现主人公普鲁弗洛克渴望爱情又害怕爱情,在无数次的挣扎中陷入梦境,经历了入梦、梦酣、梦呓多个阶段后被惊醒,梦幻破灭。
The Love Song of J·Alfred Prufrock is T·S· Eliot＇s first yet important poem.Eliot develops his feelings with the main line： the protagonist,J·Alfred Prufrock＇s attitude towards the overwhelming problem—displaying his love.The monologue in the poem shows us that Prufrock is a person who expects love but at the same time is frightened by it.After struggling time and time again,Prufrock falls in fantasy.After struggles in his dream,Prufrock is finally wakened up,to find out that his dream has been broken.
