在大学英语教学中,语言与文化是不可分割的,社会文化能力的总体提高是大学英语教学的基本价值取向。从文化角度审思目前大学英语教学,摆脱急功近利的应试教育思想、修正课程设计的瑕疵以及提高教师自身跨文化专业素质是解决目前大学英语教学中文化缺失现象的主要对策。

Language and culture cannot be seperated from each other in College English teaching, whose basic value orientation is to improve students’ social cultural ability. From the cultural perspective, the main countermeasures against the cultural default in College English teaching are to get rid of the test-oriented ideas for quick success and instant benef it, to correct the flaws in course design and to improve teachers’ own professional qualities of interculture.
