Study of Qinhuangdao Trading Port in Modern China

自开商埠是清政府为杜绝外人觊觎,保全主权而开辟的一些口岸。本文阐释了晚清自开商埠的历史原因,并解读了秦皇岛开埠的根源,在此基础上进一步考证了秦皇岛开埠的准确时间。

In order to resist the expanding of western powers, effectively limit the foreigners' privileges and protect the sovereignty, the Qing government opened up some ports, which was the self-established trading ports. This article illustrates the historical reason of the emergence of the self-established trading ports, and studies the source and time of Qinhuangdao ports.
