演说术教育是罗马教育的重要内容和最终的目标。以西塞罗为代表的罗马演说术教育思想与实践活动是罗马教育史上的精彩篇章。西塞罗在借鉴希腊演说术教育理念和方法的基础上,结合罗马社会的实际,发展了较为系统的演说术教育思想与方法,他的演说术理论及其教育实践活动代表了罗马演说术及演说术教育发展的最高境界。
The education of oratory was the most important content and the ultimate aim in the Roman education. The idea and the practice of it which it was stood by Cicero was the most brilliant parts in the history of Roman education. On the basis of making use of the idea and the method of Greece and combining the practice of Rome, Cicero created the idea and the method of Roman oratory. It represented the highest realm of Roman oratory and its education.
