摘要
大学英语考试不是一个孤立的社会行为,它与其所属的各个层次的社会系统有着密切的联系。从系统的角度看,大学英语考试是大学英语教学这个系统的一部分,而大学英语教学又是高等教育的一部分,高等教育则是社会的一部分。社会、高等教育和大学英语教学即成为大学英语考试的上层系统。另一方面,大学英语考试本身也包括命题、施考、阅卷、发布成绩等不同成分。这些不同成分即构成的大学英语教学考试的下层系统。改革大学英语教学既要从考试的上层系统入手,也要从考试的下层系统入手。本文依据一项大规模问卷调查的结果,探讨大学英语考试与其上、下层系统的关系,对大学英语考试改革提出了一些建设性意见。
Instead of being an isolated social act, College English testing is closely connected with all the other subsystems of certain higher level systems to which they all belong. From the systems perspective, College English testing is part of the system of College English teaching, which is, in turn, part of the system of higher education, which, again, is part of the system of society. Thus, society, higher education, and College English teaching can be regarded as the upper level systems for College English testing. On the other hand, College English testing itself comprises such subsystems as item setting, test implementation, scoring, and score report. The reform of College English testing should be approached from both the upper and the lower level systems. Based on the results of a large-scale survey, this paper analyses the relationship between College English testing and its upper and lower level systems and offers suggestions for College English reform.
