The paper examines the differences of 3 intensities on subjective exercise experience between high and low-active males and females.40 university students cycled ergometer in lab at RPE=9,RPE=13 and RPE=17 for 10 minutes each using RPE production protocol. All participants completed subjective exercise experience scale during 3,6 and 9 minutes, and post-1,3 and 5 minutes. Results showed that there were significant positive effects in lower intensity.Participants reported more positive affect after cycling than during exercise. The high-actives reported more negative after exercise than the lows at low and moderate intensities while they were more positive during exercise at high intensity than low-actives.Moreover,there were significant gender differences. This study implied that sport history was an important factor in prescribing intensity in order to get positive affect.
