独立学院将何去何从?

The Development Direction of Independent Institutes

独立学院具有不同类型:从产权上可以分为国有民营、民办两大类。不同的独立学院面临不同的问题。对于国有民营独立学院来说,政府要承认其合法性与合理性,严格按照"六个独立"的精神规范办学行为,使之成为高等教育系统中的新类型;对于民办独立学院,则要正确处理申办方、合作方、独立学院三者的关系,促使其向独立的民办大学转型。

There are different kinds of independent institutes, such as the institutes co-sponsored with the government, or with the enterprises, or with companies founded by the university etc. those different independent institutes can be divided into to two groups according to the ownership, namely the state-owned and private-running form and the private-owned form. Different institutes face different problems. For the state-owned and private-running independent institute, the government must admit it is legal and reasonable, and regulate its administration strictly in accordance with the spirit of six independences, make it the new type of higher education system. For the private-owned independent institute, we shall deal with the relation among the sponsors, cooperation parties and the independent institute well, facilitate it to transform into independent private university.
