试论王栋的安身观

On Wang Dong’s View of Playing Safe

王栋关于"尊身"的思想很少,而关于"安身"的思想则很多。他认为要安身就要懂得保身。王栋的保身安身说主要来自于王艮的明哲保身论。他从保家、保国、保天下的高度阐述了保身的重要性,以及"修身"、"正身"、"反身"与"安身"的关系。他把"格物"看着是"止至善"的功夫,"安身"是格物说的主要内容。此外,他进一步指出,安身不应在效验上用功,而应在反身上用功。

Wang Dong’s view of playing safe is more than his view of self-respect.He thought one should protect himself if he wanted to play safe.Wang Dong’s view of playing safe was originated from Wang Gen’s theory of ego-protection.He illustrated the importance of ego-protection in terms of protecting family,mother country and the world,as well as the relations among self-training,self-justifying,self-questioning and self-protection.He regarded "Gewu" as the key to goodness;playing safe is the main content of the view of Gewu.In addition to that he also pointed out playing safe shall pay attention to self-questioning instead of self-protection.
