摘要
本文从女性哥特文学的理论立场出发对达夫妮·杜穆里埃的《蝴蝶梦》进行重新解读。从哥特式诡异情境、女性自我身份的寻找以及分裂中的女性形象三个方面,揭示这部小说被忽略的深刻主题:即女作家通过女性哥特这种隐秘的写作方式表现男性压迫下的女性生活及其抗争。
This paper applies Female Gothic theory to reexamine Daphne du Mau- rier′s Rebecca.By analyzing Rebecca from three respects:the uncanny Gothic environment,the quest of fe- male identity,and the spilt female im- ages,this paper reveals that women′s painful life and their secret rebellion in the male-supremacy society is the hid- den theme of this novel.
