摘要
《魔桶》自出版以来就被公认为是马拉默德的代表作之一。存在主义认为人是社会里孤独的存在体。孤独,痛苦,绝望和被遗弃是人存在的基本感受。存在主义的先驱克尔凯郭尔认为人的存在和发展有三个阶段:美学阶段、伦理学阶段和宗教阶段。文章拟用存在主义的思想来分析《魔桶》中利奥.芬克尔在追寻爱情过程中所经历的精神和心理上的挣扎和变化。
The Magic Barrel has been widely considered as one of masterpiece of Maramud since its publication.Existentialism holds that human is a solitary being in the society.Loneliness,depression,despair and being cast out are the essential feelings of human beings.Kel Cakul,the predecessor of existentialism divides the development of the existence into three phases: the aesthetic stage,the ethical stage,and the religious stage.This article aims to apply the above existentialistic ideas to analyze the spiritual and emotional struggles and changes of Leo Finkle in The Magic Barrel.
