当前,人类正走进以信息技术为核心的知识经济时代,信息化已成为推进国民经济和社会发展的主动力,农业和农村信息化水平也已逐渐成为一个国家农业现代化水平和农村综合实力的重要标志。尽快解决好我国广大农民信息贫乏的问题,是这个时代赋予我们的神圣使命。近几年来,党中央和国务院高度关注"三农"工作,正在着手解决中国经济和社会发展不平衡的难题,以求中国经济的可持续发展,农村信息化工作已经全面提上议事日程。作者全面分析和论证了农业和农村信息化建设的必要性和重要意义。

Currently,human beings are stepping into the age of knowledge economy which depends on information technology.Informatization provides further impetus to economic and social development.The rural informatization is a mark of a country's modernization of agriculture.It is our mission to help farmers access to necessary information.In recent years,the Central Party Committee and the Slate Council have paid close attention to the problems of peasants,agriculture and villages and are trying to resolve the unbalanced development of economy and society of China to ensure sustainable economic development.Rural informatization is already on the agenda of the government.The necessity and importance of realizing rural informationization in China are discussed in this paper.
