摘要
该文站在女性主义的立场,从性格、言行、才智、婚嫁和地位等五个方面分析了英语谚语中的性别歧视现象,并从社会语言学的角度对这种语言现象产生的根源进行了探讨。
From the standpoint of feminism,this paper analyzes the phenomenon of sex discrimination in English Proverbs in the five aspects of character, words and deeds,ability and wisdom,marriage and social status;it also discusses the root of the phenomenon from the angle of social linguistics.
