Great Expectations is a famous work of Charles Dickens,the greatest English Critical Realist. Although the love story of Pip and Estella was not the principal clue of this novel,it's really splendid and free-flowing.The tragic elements and the development and change of Estella's love are analyzed through three aspects:the social background of the work;the heroine's ideology and character.
