对成都而言,每年的5月25日是一个不同寻常的日子。中国西部最大的国际性展会——中国西部国际博览会(以下简称西博会)在这一天召开。今年5月25日,简捷而隆重的开幕式结束后,忽然下起了大雨,但这丝毫没有影响西博会盛大热烈的气氛,一些国家别出心裁推出的丰富多彩的主题活动尤其引人注目。
West China Trade Fair has formally been upgraded to a state-level comprehensive event. The 6th West China Trade Fair opened on May 25, this year attracted delegations from more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in the coastal and western regions and those from 40 countries and regions comprising of some 2000 businessmen. Besides 10 government officials of foreign countries and 12 countries ambassadors and consul generals to China were invited to attend the fair. The fair had an exhibition space of 60000 square meters for showcasing the products provided by more than 2000 companies. Now, the fair has become a practically effective platform for the enterprises in West China to promote the cooperation in economy and trade and seek overseas-bound development.
