早晨从拉萨出发就有点不顺。也不知为何,本该10:30出发的客车直到11:25才从拉萨车站慢吞吞开出。我和小周愣是在雨中淋了近一个钟头。小周是我昨天在拉萨巴朗学旅馆的招贴栏前找同伴时认识的。我俩相互看了对方的身份证,见他儒儒雅雅稳稳重重的模样不像坏人就临时结了伴儿。
In the rainy season, we drove on the bumpy and muddy road along the China-Nepal Highway from Lhasa, covering a journey of 771 km in the wind and rain. What is more, we suffered from altitude reaction in varying degrees, which made the journey doubly hard. However, on the way, we passed by Xigaze City, Lhaze County and visited magnificent Trashilhumpo Monastery, Miniature Potala Palace on Mt. Dzong and some other renowned shrines of Tibetan Buddhism. We came to the base camp at the foot of Mt. Qomolangma and looked up at the world's highest peak in a relatively close distance. Finally, we reached Zham, a town on the border between China and Nepal, which left a deep impression of strong exotic atmosphere on us. With ceaseless pleasant surprises throughout the journey, it was really a most rewarding trip. Thus, we thought it was worth all the suffering.
