This article describes the design of series speed-up gear boxes(max.speed25,000rpm),the driving device required by the high-speed pumps,which is of advanced technology home and abroad currently.It summarizes the stability of gear operation,lubricating methods,as well as design and structural characteristics of sliding bearings.This design once won the third prize of 1995’s technical progress prize held by the Ministry of Chemical Industry,P.R.C..
