50年代初的院系调整和教学改革使我国的高等教育结构由解放前的通才教育模式转向专才教育模式。但随着全球一体化进程的加快,过分专业化也显现出它的许多弊病,不适应当前教育中培养大学生全面发展的要求。因此当前我国高等教育要更有效地提高人才培养质量,就应该认识到通识教育的重要性。

The college restructuring and reform in 50’ turned our higher education from specialized personnel's educational pattern before liberation to generalist educational pattern. With quickening process of global integration, so more specialization displays lots of disadvantages; do not meet the arm of all-round developing. So if we want improve the quality of present higher education, we must realize the importance of generalist educational. .
