摘要
在外语教学中,阅读能力被看作是评价学习者语言水平的重要指标之一,通常评价学生阅读能力的主要方法是通过阅读短文,进行多项选择,给出正确答案。由于在阅读训练中,很多教师使用的仍然是逐句翻译和分析语法的方法,阅读者处于被动的地位。针对阅读中存在的这一大问题,作者探索、研究了一种新的有效提高阅读理解的方法,即一种结合语义图和预测—证实理论的方法来激活学生大脑中已储存的知识的方法,教会学生在做阅读理解前的准备阶段结合两种理论构思出语义图,使被动阅读转变为主动阅读。
In English foreign language teaching, reading comprehension is one of the most important factors in assessing a learner's linguistic competence. A common way of assessing their reading ability is usually conducted by the multiple-choice questions. Since many English teachers adopt a translation- grammar method, the students are always made passive readers. The author combines semantic-mapping approach and prediction-confirmation theory into practice in an attempt to promote students' reading comprehension effectively. This essay focuses on the exploration of the ways of how to change the passive readers to active ones by activating their stored knowledge and applying the two teaching activities in the pre-reading stage.
