摘要 General Problems with In-House English Courses In-house English teaching for businesses is generally perceived to be one of the most problematic sources of employment for native speaker teachers in China. Although usually one of the more lucrative kinds of teaching available, it is also the most unreliable, frustrating, and unsatisfying: [HJ]i) Companies frequently defer course start dates and postpone or cancel scheduled classes (with little or no notice). ii) [KG3mm]Companies seldom if ever commit to a sufficiently long course to achieve any worthwhile gains in English. iii) [KG2mm]Companies often terminate courses prematurely, usually with little or no notice, and almost invariably without explanation.
